I am a Christian woman of God. I was given the gift of a child to raise, and I am thankful for being chosen to be a mother. I am a published author. I write poetry and stories, meditations and reflections. I offer my writing as a gift to the world, though I long for the day that I will be published for royalties. I have three compilations of poetry and stories titled Heartstrings. I have letters published in several newspapers along the East coast. I am passionate about writing. I come from a family of writers in Maine. I am related to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Edna St. Vincent Millay. I write from the heart. I am an old fashioned gal and sentimental lady. The rivers are wide and deep. I work hard at trying to capture the emotions behind my writing. And because I love words ardently, as Emily Dickinson did, I have wept over my own writing. I am a romantic poet and I still believe in the fairy tale romance. I am also passionate about helping the poor and needy. I can often be found ministering to the homeless. And if I had only two coins, I would give them away, because it is greater to give than to receive.
